About this role
As a Platform Engineer, AI & Security at TENEX, you work alongside our engineering team to expand how our platform connects with and operates across the security ecosystem. You combine software development with hands-on experience deploying enterprise security products to give engineers reliable integrations, representative environments, and reusable tooling for developing and validating new capabilities.
You will write software, deploy and configure security technologies, and understand how those products behave in practice from their APIs and authentication models to their configuration requirements and operational constraints. Your work will help engineering teams build and test capabilities across a broad range of security products and enterprise use cases.
You will:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain security products across cloud, AI security, network, endpoint, and identity domains to support engineering development and validation.
- Write and maintain software that connects with security vendor APIs, automates product setup, and makes integrations repeatable.
- Build reusable tooling for provisioning, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting across a diverse security technology ecosystem.
- Develop representative configurations and workflows that reflect how security products are deployed and used in enterprise environments.
- Partner with engineers building AI-driven capabilities to make security product functionality accessible, testable, and well understood.
- Investigate vendor APIs, permissions, data models, and product behavior; document integration requirements, limitations, and edge cases.
- Build automated checks that verify connectivity, configuration, and expected behavior as vendor products and TENEX capabilities evolve.
- Diagnose integration failures and distinguish between issues in TENEX software, vendor products, and environment configuration.
- Maintain technical documentation and implementation examples that help engineering teams build on your work.
Must-Haves:
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, security engineering, or a related technical field, including substantial hands-on software development.
- Demonstrated ability to write maintainable software in Python or another general-purpose language, using version control, automated testing, and code review.
- Experience building API integrations and troubleshooting authentication, authorization, data exchange, and system behavior.
- Hands-on experience deploying and configuring multiple security products within an enterprise or for enterprise customers.
- Working knowledge of security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR, cloud security, network security, and identity platforms, with depth in one or more areas.
- Experience automating infrastructure or application configuration and maintaining reliable technical environments.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar products, work through incomplete documentation, and turn findings into reusable software and clear technical guidance.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to translate practical security requirements into engineering work.
Nice-to-Haves:
- A software developer background, particularly building integrations, backend services, or developer tooling.
- Experience in customer engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting spanning multiple enterprise security products.
- Experience integrating AI applications or agents with external tools and APIs, including permissions and validation of tool actions.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration automation using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with containers, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and automated integration testing.
- Familiarity with enterprise security products such as CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, SentinelOne, and Palo Alto Networks Cortex XDR, as well as security data platforms and pipeline technologies such as Google SecOps, Logstash, OpenTelemetry, Bindplane, or Cribl.
- Relevant cloud or security certifications.
