Applied AI Engineer

THE ROLE

We are seeking an Applied AI Engineer to own the definition, scaling, and expansion of AI/ML solutions at Redpine. Our mission is to be the leading knowledge layer for trusted AI data. You will develop and implement machine learning solutions that power our platform, so organizations can source, validate, and manage high-quality training and inference data.

You will be among the first key employees building algorithms for data quality assessment, automated validation and evaluation, and intelligent data matching. We interview on an ongoing basis. Please submit your application sooner rather than later.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Design and implement machine learning models for data quality assessment and validation.

- Develop algorithms for automated data labeling and annotation verification.

- Create and maintain data processing pipelines for various AI training data types.

- Develop and optimize matching algorithms between data providers and buyers.

- Implement scalable solutions for processing and analyzing large datasets.

- Collaborate with the product team to develop new features for the marketplace platform.

- Research and implement state-of-the-art ML techniques for data quality improvement.

- Work with customers and stakeholders to understand and implement data requirements for various AI use cases.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Strong experience in developing, training, and deploying AI / Machine Learning models.

- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, R, Scala, Hugging Face).

- Knowledge of model deployment techniques and serving frameworks like TensorFlow Serving, TorchServe, or custom APIs.

- Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing.

- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as version control tools such as Git.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Comfortable writing queries, exploring data, and collaborating on hypotheses with product and engineering counterparts.

- Proficiency in independently setting up and managing cloud services that support scaling on a global level.

- A Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning or similar is a plus.

WHY THIS ROLE

You will be one of the first people defining how Redpine uses ML on licensed data: quality, validation, matching, and evaluation. The work sits on the path between data owners and the models that consume that data.

- Based at Redpine HQ in central Stockholm. Office-first, with real autonomy for deep-work days and life admin.

- Requires a valid Swedish work permit or similar eligibility. Relocation support available.

ABOUT REDPINE

If models were the first wave of AI, and compute the second, we are building the data layer that comes next. Only a small fraction of the world's data is on the open internet. The rest, high-quality, domain-specific, often critical, sits behind paywalls, in databases, or with rights holders. Redpine is building the infrastructure to unlock it.

We provide AI builders and autonomous agents with access to licensed, high-quality, multimodal data through a unified platform and API. The goal is simple: make AI systems more accurate, more useful, and grounded in real-world information.

You will work closely with the founding team, including Anders (ex-partner at VC, McKinsey) and David (ex-tech and product leader at Spotify, Zettle, and Lunar). We are backed by Nordic Ninja, Node VC, and Luminar, alongside angels from OpenAI, Spotify, and Perplexity.
