About this role

ABOUT PAVE BANK

Pave Bank is the world’s first programmable business bank. Built by the founders behind Monzo and BigPay, we’re redefining global business banking by combining programmable financial infrastructure with world-class client experiences.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an experienced Software QA Automation Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Tbilisi. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital banking platforms through automated testing frameworks. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to a modern automation infrastructure, and collaborate closely with developers, and product teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript.

- Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and resolve issues throughout the software lifecycle.

- Implement and optimize test automation as part of the CI/CD pipeline for faster and more reliable releases.

- Perform regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across web and API layers.

- Monitor and maintain test environments and results to ensure continuous test coverage.

- Contribute to improving QA standards, documentation, and best practices within the team.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives as part of an agile workflow.

REQUIREMENTS

- Proven professional experience in both manual and automated QA—you know how to break things and prevent bugs before they reach users.

- Hands-on experience building automation frameworks from scratch, ideally using Playwright and TypeScript (or similar tools).

- Strong experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

- Solid understanding of software development, testing principles, and Agile/DevOps workflows.

- Experience testing web applications, APIs, and mobile apps (React Native experience a plus).

- Experience in fast-paced startup environments and the ability to define QA strategy, processes, and standards from the ground up.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills in English.

- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable taking ownership in a rapidly scaling environment.

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience with performance or security testing tools.

- Background in fintech or digital banking helpful but not essential.

WHY US?

- We recently raised $39 million in our Series A (led by Accel), positioning the company for major growth and giving you a rare chance to join while things are still moving fast

- Work alongside a founding team from Monzo and BigPay, bringing top-tier fintech expertise to the company.

- Take ownership of QA automation from the ground up: design the strategy, choose the tools, and build frameworks that will shape how we ship products.

- Influence the way we build, test, and release software, while collaborating with experienced engineers and growing your career in QA and automation.
