About this role

7AI is the foundational AI security company. Founded in 2024 by Cybereason co-founders Lior Div and Yonatan Striem-Amit, we came out of stealth in February 2025 to take on the non-human work of the SOC. Our platform pairs a federated SIEM with AI agents that detect, investigate, respond, and hunt, plus dedicated threat hunting and threat intelligence, with humans on the loop.

Backed by $166 million in total funding from investors including Index Ventures and Blackstone, we're building the AI foundation for security operations in the agentic era, and we're still early. That's the appeal: you'll join at a pivotal stage where your work shapes what 7AI becomes, alongside security veterans who've built this before. Our culture runs on respect, collaboration, and a shared bar for excellence, all pointed at one goal, delivering real outcomes for the customers who trust us to defend them.

OVERVIEW

As an AI Solution Advisor, you'll advise enterprise CISOs and SOC leaders on how to modernize their security operations with 7AI. You'll set strategic direction and measurable outcomes, shape architecture and adoption plans, and work with our solutions engineering, security engineering, and sales teams to turn those plans into real customer value. You'll engage selectively across our most strategic accounts, stepping in where your judgment matters most rather than owning any one account day to day. This role suits a former security executive who's ready to move from being the CISO to advising one.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Pre-sales

- Engage on strategic or complex deals and help carry them to a technical and executive win.

- Scope each solution around the customer's path, whether that's replacing an MDR or MSSP, automating the SOC, transforming SOC operations, or displacing a legacy SIEM or SOAR.

- Define the target operating model, maturity baseline, first use case, and roadmap, planned backward from the customer's strategic deadline.

- Diagnose complex customer environments. Find the architectural, operational, and organizational gaps, and challenge assumptions constructively.

- Spot and document advisory opportunities that create immediate value, such as licensing optimization, tool consolidation, and detection engineering improvements.

- Lead executive security conversations and SOC transformation workshops, translating technical pain into business outcomes.

Post-sales

- Drive adoption, customer satisfaction, and referenceability across the accounts you advise.

- Make sure each customer's journey is executing well across the account team, and step in when outcomes are at risk.

- Build and refine reusable playbooks, frameworks, and transformation models.

- Mentor the solutions engineers you work alongside and raise the consultative bar across the post-sales team.

- Bring customer insight back to Product, R&D, Services, and Sales to shape the roadmap, workflows, and enablement. Route deep implementation work to the right engineering teams rather than owning it yourself.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 10+ years in cybersecurity, security operations, security architecture, or security consulting, including senior leadership.

- Experience operating as a CISO, deputy CISO, SOC leader, security operations executive, or senior security architect, with the credibility to engage CISOs, CIOs, and hands-on practitioners alike.

- A track record leading change management, helping security organizations adopt new operating models and workflows and bringing stakeholders along.

- Deep command of SOC operating models and maturity, SIEM, SOAR, MDR, detection, investigation, response, and security automation.

- The ability to assess complex enterprise environments and scope integrations, connectors, workflows, tuning, and customizations at the right level of detail.

- Experience leading consultative engagements with senior security stakeholders and turning business goals into measurable outcomes, success criteria, and phased plans.

- Strong executive presence and clear writing and speaking. You can simplify complex topics for executives without losing practitioners.

- A consultative, evidence-driven style. You listen well, diagnose carefully, and challenge assumptions in a way that builds trust.

- Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage operating models, and the instinct to build reusable frameworks as you go.

- A willingness to stay hands-on, from technical discovery and platform walkthroughs to workflow design and live case discussions, and to learn the platform well enough to demo it credibly.

NICE TO HAVE

- Prior experience as a CISO, deputy CISO, or enterprise SOC leader, ideally with 15+ years in cybersecurity and 6+ years leading a large enterprise SOC.

- A degree in cybersecurity or information systems.

- A track record designing or leading SOC transformation, operating model change, or security modernization programs.

- Experience facilitating executive workshops, roadmap reviews, QBRs, or board-level security discussions.

- Exposure to MSSP or multi-tenant service provider delivery models.

- Familiarity with AI-driven or agentic security operations and federated SIEM approaches.

- Experience creating reusable security strategies, operating models, playbooks, or transformation IP.

- Experience advising across several strategic accounts at once without becoming the permanent account owner.
