About this role
ABOUT SAGE CARE
Sage Care is a fast-growing, early-stage healthcare startup founded by exceptional leaders from Apple, Uber, Carbon Health and backed by top-tier venture capital (General Catalyst, Chelsea Clinton). With a strong customer pipeline, Sage Care is transforming healthcare by simplifying care navigation.
Our platform makes it easier for patients to find the right doctor and helps providers focus on those who need them most through harnessing the latest AI innovations.
Building on our successful collaborations with health systems across the U.S., we have expanded internationally to the MENA region. We are now partnering with health systems there to deploy our AI-powered care navigation platform.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Every day, our services match real patient queries, symptoms, and pathologies to providers, sites of care, and urgency. These mappings are highly complex and non-linear, ranging from queries like “back pain” to “doctor for head trauma”. We log and can query for historical requests but want to build tools to help us analyze this data in aggregate and build deeper insights into what we’re seeing day to day.
We are looking for someone to help us build out the analytics infrastructure and tooling for the matching pipeline. This will provide us with learnings from real patient data and provide key insights into how to iterate and improve our current offerings.
We’re looking for someone who can help build out the core analytics infrastructure and pipelines for our matching products. You’ll work closely with engineers who work on the matching software, as well as our business team to help understand, surface, and design the metrics we need to better the impact of our product and how to improve it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build and design analytics tooling and pipelines
- Build dashboards that we can show to partners, the business team, and internally that surface metrics and insights into our data
- Build the pipelines that connect metrics from our services to our dashboards
- Build offline analysis tooling to help us understand aggregate and larger scale impacts of our services.
Build New Insights
- Help design and implement new metrics that assess how we’re performing and how we can improve our services
- Establish metrics of quality that we can hill climb on to improve our algorithms
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
- 2+ years of data analytics and engineering experience
- Experience building out dashboards and UI’s that monitor live data using tools like Grafana.
- Data engineering experience piping metric data from live services
- Strong experience in an object-oriented language (e.g. Python, Java, JavaScript)
- Strong backend engineering skills and systems thinking
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Open Telemetry and related products (e.g. Honeycomb, Jaeger UI).
- Experience in healthcare technology
Example Things you’ve Done
- Built out dashboards that monitor real-world metrics and usages
- Implemented and design novel metrics to capture useful insights
- Worked on tracing software and piping data through multiple software systems
Work location
