Workplace Operations Manager

Role:

The Workplace Operations Manager will own the day-to-day operations and long-term effectiveness of our manufacturing and workplace facilities. This person will ensure that building systems, production spaces, and employee work areas are safe, reliable, and ready to support a growing team. Working closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Workplace teams, they will build practical processes for maintenance, vendor management, and space planning as our products scale into full production.

Responsibilities:

- Manage facility operations across production lines, the machine shop, inventory areas, and office space, resolving issues that could disrupt work.

- Own preventive maintenance and repairs for building systems, utilities, equipment infrastructure, cleaning, and grounds.

- Partner with Production and Engineering to plan facility work around manufacturing priorities and support changing equipment and space needs.

- Develop scalable processes for work orders, inspections, access, emergency response, and facility records.

- Manage contractors and service providers, including scopes of work, schedules, performance, contracts, and the facilities budget.

- Lead space planning and facility improvements that support employee growth, production capacity, and an effective workplace experience.

Basic Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in facilities management or operations, including responsibility for an industrial, manufacturing, or similarly complex site.

- Experience managing building maintenance, service vendors, and facility projects from planning through completion.

- Working knowledge of building systems and the ability to assess issues, set priorities, and coordinate timely solutions.

- Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience balancing urgent operational needs and longer-term improvements across teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience supporting a manufacturing organization through rapid growth or increased production volume.

- Experience supporting production lines, machine shops, warehouses, or other equipment-intensive spaces.

- Experience in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or another fast-growing hardware environment.

- Familiarity with facilities management software, preventive maintenance programs, and facility budgeting.
