THE ROLE:

As a Placement Engineering Student, you will join the leader in the on-demand pay industry during a 9–12 month placement. You will be part of a mission-driven team hyper-focused on designing technology that builds a better, more equitable financial system. This role is designed for students who are passionate about reimagining how money moves and are willing to define new rules to change systems and lives. You will have the opportunity to learn how to build an unrivaled technology platform that enables workers to access their earned pay when they need it, ensuring money moves faster and smoother between employers and employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support Scalable Technology: Contribute to the development of an unrivaled technology platform that serves an unmatched list of blue-chip clients.

- Master New Systems: Help rewrite the invisible rules of finance by assisting in the creation of a more equitable and inclusive financial system.

- Develop Technical Proficiency: Apply your knowledge of data structures and algorithms to real-world software design challenges within a fast-paced environment.

- Adopt Best Practices: Gain hands-on experience and a deep willingness to learn and apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) to ensure high-quality code.

- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Use your strong communication skills to work effectively with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.

- Drive Innovation: Participate in the continuous improvement of technology that allows money to move faster and smoother across the financial ecosystem.

- Learn and Grow: Actively engage in a culture of continuous learning, developing your technical career under the mentorship of industry experts.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

- Academic Foundation: Currently registered in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field that supports a 9–12 month placement.

- Core Fundamentals: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and the basic principles of software design.

- Coding Experience: Practical coding experience in at least one modern programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or Go.

- Eagerness to Learn: A proactive mindset and a strong desire to develop your career in technology and master new methodologies like TDD.

- Communication Skills: The ability to articulate technical ideas clearly and collaborate effectively within a team setting.

- Mission Alignment: A passion for reimagining financial systems and a drive to contribute to a company growing at an extraordinary pace.
