Software Engineer (Next.js / React)

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'd be joining a firm that helps accounting and finance teams grow with top offshore and onshore talent, and a portal that's core to how the business runs.

As our dedicated Software Engineer, you own that portal end to end. You'll work directly with our CEO and our web developer, shipping features, improving what's already there, and making technical decisions that shape the product.

This is a long-term, exclusive role. It is not a side project, and it is not a ticket queue. The person who thrives here is a serious professional who wants to own a product full time.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

- You build with Next.js and React every day, and your experience is hands-on, not theoretical.

- AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code are part of how you build, not an experiment.

- You have a track record of owning projects, not just contributing to them.

- You explain technical decisions clearly to people who aren't engineers.

- You want one product to own full time, not a rotation of clients.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

- The Portal. It's yours, end to end. Own the product that's core to the business, from the codebase to the direction it takes.

- Feature Delivery. Ship it. Build and release new features in close collaboration with our CEO and web developer.

- Product Improvement. Make what's there better. Improve and refine the existing portal so it keeps getting stronger.

- Technical Decisions. Your call, your reasoning. Make the technical choices that shape the product, and explain them clearly to leadership.

- Leadership Collaboration. No layers. Work directly with our CEO on priorities and product direction.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

- Strong, hands-on experience with Next.js and React (required)

- Daily use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar as part of how you build (required)

- Fluent English, written and spoken (required)

- Full working-hours overlap with U.S. Eastern/Central time (required)

- Availability for exclusive, full-time work, with no concurrent clients or contracts (required)

- A track record of owning projects and communicating clearly with non-technical stakeholders (required)

HIRING PROCESS

- 20–30 minute video screen in English

- 45-minute conversation with our CEO

- One-hour take-home exercise

- Technical final interview with our CEO and web developer

CONTRACT & EXCLUSIVITY

This is an independent contractor engagement based in Latin America. Full-time exclusivity is required — candidates must not hold other clients, contracts, or freelance engagements once hired. Conflict-of-interest checks may apply.
