About this role

At CoMind, we are developing a non-invasive neuromonitoring technology that will result in a new era of clinical brain monitoring. In joining us, you will be helping to create cutting-edge technologies that will improve how we diagnose and treat brain disorders, ultimately improving and saving the lives of patients across the world.

THE ROLE

We're looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our small, hands-on finance team at a London hardware technology startup that's growing fast. You'll keep our day-to-day finances running smoothly, from payables and supplier relationships to cash management and month-end. You'll also own the finance tools we rely on, including Xero, ApprovalMax, Expensify and Dext. In a team this size, your work is visible and your ideas count: we want you to spot what could work better and use automation and AI to build it. Please note applicants must be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- All accounts payable tasks, including invoice coding, preparing weekly payment runs and resolving queries

- Complete daily bank and debit card reconciliations using Xero

- Monitor bank accounts and prepare transfers to keep operational accounts sufficiently funded

- Send a weekly cash status report to senior management

- Assist with month-end tasks including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations

- Set up new suppliers and act as the main point of contact for supplier invoice and payment queries

- Administer our finance apps (including ApprovalMax, Expensify and Dext), managing users, approval workflows and integrations with Xero

- Identify and implement improvements to finance processes, with a focus on automation and making good use of AI

AI is fundamental to our culture. It's not just a tool, but a core part of how we work, collaborate, and innovate. We expect all team members to embrace AI in their daily work and continuously find new ways to use it effectively.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Experience as an accounts assistant, accounts payable assistant or cash management assistant

- Experience using Xero

- Nice to have: AAT qualified, or studying

Benefits:

- Company equity plan so all employees share in the success of the company

- Salary-sacrifice pension scheme

- Private medical, dental and vision insurance (medical history disregarded)

- Group life insurance at 4x annual income

- Comprehensive mental health support, including unlimited access to 1:1 sessions with trained professionals

- Unlimited holiday allowance (+ bank holidays) and one week of remote working per quarter

- Lunch voucher (£10) every day for JustEat and free dinner on those days where you need to work later

- Twice weekly deliveries of fresh fruit and an extensive selection of snacks and drinks

- YuLife subscription, allowing you to turn your daily steps and meditation into discounts at a range of stores

Disclaimer - We use Granola, an AI notetaker, throughout our interview process to help capture notes. It's used only for note-taking during the conversation. Transcripts aren't saved to shared drives or stored externally. Let us know if you'd prefer we don't.

About this listing

Published on Ashby under the board identifier Comind, which is the name the employer’s own job board carries. RoleSprint has not verified the company’s registered or trading name, so it is shown exactly as published rather than tidied up.

RoleSprint is not the employer and not a recruiter. Applications are made on the employer’s own site and never reach us; what RoleSprint does is help you decide whether a role is worth your time and prepare for it if it is.

Published 30 September 2026, last checked today. A posting stops being advertised here 90 days after the employer published it, and one the employer takes down is marked closed rather than quietly removed.
